Prosei AI — Verified Upstream Curator¶
Website: prosei.ai
Prosei AI is a self-help legal-software platform for self-represented litigants (pro se / litigants in person). They explicitly do not provide legal advice — instead, they offer AI-assisted case-management, document-drafting, and a researcher tool that integrates with 12 authoritative legal databases.
Why we credit them¶
The set of 12 free legal-research databases their integration surfaces is itself a useful curated catalogue — the kind of "you can find everything you need in these 12 places" insight that takes time to build independently. We mirror that catalogue in /tools/legal-research.md with full annotation per source.
We acknowledge Prosei as a Verified Upstream Curator for that tool-set composition, distinct from publishers like James Christianson (who curates per-jurisdiction primary-source links).
What Prosei offers¶
- AI-assisted document drafting (motions, declarations, discovery)
- Case-management tooling for self-represented litigants
- Research tool integrating 12 authoritative databases (CourtListener, CanLII, AustLII, Indian Kanoon, Cornell LII, Justia, Federal Register, Congress.gov, etc.)
- State-specific procedural information
- Pro Se Dad Family Court Survival Guide
- Motion templates
Most features require account login.
Editorial notes¶
- We do not mirror Prosei's proprietary content (motion templates, case-management UI, AI-generated drafts). Those remain their work and require their platform to access.
- We mirror only the list of integrated databases as a curated index, with original annotations per source.
- AntiAlienate's framing is empathy-first and educational; Prosei's framing is tooling-and-templates. Different angles, complementary contributions to the same underlying goal of empowering self-represented parents.
