J. Michael Bone, PhD¶
Licensed Mental Health Counsellor. A direct successor to Gardner and one of the most-used PA expert witnesses in US family courts.
Why he matters here¶
Bone worked alongside Gardner on cases and his "Four Criteria" framework (with Walsh, 1999) for assessing alienation is a long-standing courtroom shorthand. His evaluations appear in court records nationwide; his framework is still taught in custody-evaluator CE courses. Anyone reading or contesting a US evaluator's report will benefit from understanding the framework.
